Dean's Award for Excellence in Education (Early Years)

This award is granted, at the Spring Convocation, upon recommendation of the Faculty of Education to a maximum of two BED (AD) students from each of the Early Years, Middle Years, and Senior Years routes and to a maximum of two students in the BA/BED Integrated program and/or the BMUS/BED degree program and to a maximum of two students in the PENT Indigenous Teacher Education program. Recipients will be selected on the basis of the following criteria: exceptional academic performance, excellence in the practice of teaching, outstanding leadership qualities, collegial behaviour, self-directed learning and appropriate application, commitment to ongoing professional improvement, demonstrated integrity and diligence, and demonstrated professional responsibility.

The Dean’s Award for Excellence will be presented in addition to the Governor General’s medal for academic achievement.
