Ellen Bateman Memorial Award

To be awarded to a student in financial need who is entering Brandon University and who is a graduate of the Eckhardt-Gramatte Conservatory of Music Chorale. Preference will be given to a student who has been a member of the Conservatory Chorale for a minimum of two years, demonstrates academic excellence and has demonstrated leadership and/or service to the Conservatory Chorale, which has contributed significantly to the functioning of the organization. Recipients will be chosen based on the recommendations of the Director of the Conservatory and the Director of the Conservatory Chorale. If there are no candidates who meet these criteria, the award can be granted to members of the Brandon Conservatory Chorale to assist with their Chorale tuition/registration fees, with preference for returning choristers who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership and/or service to the organization. This award may be shared.
