Madryga Family Classical Guitar Scholarship

Two awards will be made annually:
(a) One award shall go to an Eckhardt-Gramatte Conservatory of Music guitar student on the recommendation of the Conservatory Scholarship Committee. Preference will be given to a guitarist who participates in a solo classical guitar class at the Brandon Festival of the Arts. If there is no deserving guitarist, the scholarship may be awarded to one of the following (listed in order of preference): a Brandon University School of Music classical guitarist or a Brandon University School of Music jazz guitarist.
(b) One award shall go to a Brandon University School of Music classical guitar major on the basis of academic performance. Priority will be given to the classical guitar major who is undertaking Suzuki guitar teacher training at an approved Suzuki teacher-training event. Students in an approved guitar teacher-training program must provide documentation of such with their application for the award. If there is no deserving guitarist, the scholarship may be awarded to a Conservatory classical guitar student. These award may be shared.
