The Registered Psychiatric Nurses' Foundation's Medal of Excellence

To be awarded annually to graduating students in the Bachelor of Science in Psychiatric Nursing Program at Brandon University who have consistently demonstrated leadership, academic excellence and clinical proficiency. Two medals will be awarded annually, one to a student from the Winnipeg campus and one to a student at the Brandon campus. Awarded on the recommendation of the Faculty of Health Studies to a student that has met all of the following criteria: a) Academic excellence, as demonstrated by consistently high attainment in prescribed coursework; b) excellence in clinical psychiatric nursing practice demonstrated through high achievement in clinical courses; including the senior practicum; and, c) demonstrated leadership through involvement in professional, community and/or student activities.
