Karl Popper Scholarship in Philosophy

Established in honour of the late Karl Poppers’ problem-solving and critical approach to philosophy, this scholarship is awarded upon the recommendation of the Philosophy Department to an outstanding third or fourth year Philosophy student who has taken 70;258 Predicate Logic, or its equivalent. Additionally, preference will be given to the student who has taken (I) one of 70:253 Plato and the Presocratics, 70:268 The British Empiricists, 70:269 The Continental Rationalists, and (ii) one of 70:261 Theory of Knowledge, 70:265 Introduction to Political Philosophy, and 70:369 Philosophy of Science; or their equivalents.
